Hi! I’m Dr Jessica Wood
With more than 15 years working in academia, five university degrees, and a PhD awarded in 2021, my academic journey has been both extensive and deeply rewarding. Along the way, I’ve developed a deep understanding of university standards, research expectations, and what is required to produce high-quality scholarly work.
Alongside my own studies throughout my career, I have worked extensively in lecturing, tutoring and academic support, where I have developed a strong eye for detail and a commitment to clarity, structure, and academic precision. I have supported students across a wide range of disciplines, helping them refine their writing and build confidence in their academic voice.
My experience also includes course development and academic writing tasks that require accuracy, professionalism, attention to detail, and adherence to institutional standards. I have published research in peer-reviewed journals, further strengthening my ability to engage with complex academic material at a high level, and deepening my understanding of both academic rigour and scholarly communication.
